我们来学习一下2分20秒的这一句:
What do you mean? For your birthday gifts?

这一句很多童鞋会听不出birthday gifts, 根据后边的only, a couple of things, 想一想小孩子要做个list, 贫困的父亲担心小孩子会列出太多东西, 那会是什么list呢?

这里没有连读弱读或省音, 不光birthday中的day没有省, gifts中的每一个辅音都在, 只是读的比较快, 可以仔细听一下. 我们读这样的单词就很容易丢辅音, 可以自己读几遍试试.

如果这里用of, 语法是对的. 但如果of的话会这么说
-I’m making a list. -a list of what?
不会说of your birthday gifts?
