讲座预告洛桑瑞士联邦理工学院(EPFL)Dimitrios G. Lignos副教授于清华大学土木工程系举办学术报告:“Earthquake-induced Collapse Risk and Loss Assessment of Steel Frame Buildings Designed in Highly Seismic Regions”,欢迎大家参加。时间:2016年8月22日(周一)上午9:00地点:清华大学土木工程系(何善衡楼)201会议室讲座简介本研究基于精细非线性有限元模型,对高烈度区钢框架建筑在地震诱发倒塌下的风险与损失评估进行了定量化研究。研究中考虑了重力钢框架系统(gravity framing)对于结构抗倒塌能力的影响。基于以上成果,研究提出了对当前钢框架建筑抗震设计规范的改进和完善方法。This presentation assesses the earthquake-induced collapse risk as well as the economic losses for steel frame buildings designed in highly seismic regions. The probability of structural collapse is assessed based on rigorous nonlinear response history analysis and the use of advanced nonlinear models that simulate complex deteriorating phenomena observed in steel structural components. The input model parameters have been calibrated based on the development of structural performance databases that have been developed over the past 5 years. The effect of gravity framing on the collapse resistance and earthquake-induced losses of steel frame buildings is quantified. It is shown that when the destabilizing effects of the gravity framing are ignored, the collapse risk of a steel frame building can be vastly overestimated. Same findings hold true for losses due to structure demolition because of excessive residual deformations in the aftermath of an earthquake. Refinements in the current seismic design provisions for steel frame buildings are also presented such that they meet the corresponding collapse risk limit as per ASCE-7-16.演讲人介绍现今主要学术任职EPFL Resilient Steel Structures Laboratory-主任; ASCE Earthquake Engineering Research Institute-准成员;ASCE Seismic Effects committee-成员;ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering期刊-Metal Structures and Seismic Effects领域副主编;NEHRP 顾问;主要奖项 2011 加拿大麦吉尔大学-Outstanding Teaching Award;2012 ASCE-Outstanding reviewer award ;2013 ASCE-Outstanding reviewer award ;2013 ASCE-State-of-the-Art in Civil Engineering Award;2014 加拿大麦吉尔大学-Christophe Pierre Award for Research Excellence - Early Career;
