柏桦汉诗英译八首 | 英译：陈子弘
柏桦，1956年1月生于重庆。毕业于广州外语学院英语系。先后在西南农业大学、四川外语学院、南京农业大学工作过。现为西南交通大学艺术与传播学院中文系教授。为中国第三代诗人的杰出代表。其诗歌被收到各种权威集子和刊物，并被翻译为多国文字。

基辅之春
这世上哪来彻夜不眠的春夜
老栗树下的基辅，灯亮了！
一个乌克兰少女在读书……
哦，契诃夫原来是个进步作家……
如此春夜，不写华丽的诗
不与梦中人登山临水，一个中学生，
可惜。契诃夫真说了这句话吗：
“电和蒸汽比素食更符合人性。”
政治多么美。进步更美？我说过吗？
老年痰多，孩子话多。春夜
我不想惹群众，我只想出去……
我只想再问问妈妈十万个为什么。
注释一：“政治多么美”，我说过。1989年12月26日，我在南京农业大学培训楼，我的宿舍里说过。见我写于那天的一首诗《1966年夏天》中的两句：
瞧，政治多么美

Where's the spring night sleepless in this planet
Kiev, under old chestnut trees, light is on!

never had a chilled out with his dream girl, a pity
a high school student. Did Chekhov really say that:
"Electricity and steam are more human than vegetarian cuisine."
La politique, quelle belle chose. More is the left-wing? Did I say it?
Old adults have more phlegm and children talk a lot. All spring night
I don't wish to provoke the crowd, only want to go out...
I just look for a few hundred thousand whys and wherefores from mom.

齐齐哈尔
齐齐哈尔有啥？除了这令人尴尬的名字。
凉身体一年四季都是凉的，齐齐哈尔？
热身体呢？每分每秒都热，齐齐哈尔！
18岁的人都觉得自己经历了太多的人生。
80岁的人则反之，总觉得经历的太少。
这说的可不是齐齐哈尔，这放之四海……
四海？一个阴天的下午，一只逸乐乌鸦
在巴黎Cujas窄巷人行道尽头铁护栏上
边用翅膀抚头边说话，它发出了人声
——齐齐哈尔，齐齐哈尔，齐齐哈尔……
注释一：为什么说齐齐哈尔的名字令人尴尬？因为“哈尔”在四川话的发音中是“哈儿”，即傻瓜的意思。

The Series crave the Introduction, let's spend our trip with it--
worldly goods, mellow with changes and conclude with woman,
but it's not wheat that the wind catches, it's cry of Hai Zi.
worldly possessions, are somehow mysterious and chilling,
banishing evil with a dog's tongue, expelling with eyes of ants.
A comely person lounges around. Who did say? I just think...
Forget it! Actually, too simple is just like a hate of a kind.
Extreme care, and Zhuangzi was in love. But Bai Juyi, sentimentally;
so the saying is, we can escape from war; from agedness, we can't.
Red River South, White the North. After Yu Pingbo cried
"She wants to go to Russia, to see her grandmother."

往昔的桉树尿槽，我初中时代的木床，

When You're Old

We can think of eating as a play for dispelling melancholy,

asked an Irish one, how ever, the Nazi was what kind of imagery？
Eczema per se is likely to be a feminized disease ...
That winter, Shanghai countryside, I stood by a dung vat and clamped muckworms
with chopsticks to prevent maggots from changing into flies when spring arrives
Alas, with spiritual life, he needn't be a worldly patcher for brave world
Would a salt worker mourn something? A pound of opium! It works through.
So how should we express our concern for our friends?
Chinese have a typical concern: "Drink water a bit more!"
