图解《新概念英语》语法之宾语从句
【配图注】美国国会大厦是美国国会所在地，位于美国首都华盛顿25米高的国会山上，是美国的心脏建筑。美国人把国会大厦称为Capitol，把它看做是民有、民治、民享政权的最高象征。国会大厦1793年9月18日由华盛顿总统亲自奠基，1800年投入使用。1814年第二次美英战争期间被英国人焚烧，部分建筑被毁。后来增建了参众两院会议室、圆形屋顶和圆形大厅，并多次改建和扩建。国会大厦东面的大草坪是历届总统举行就职典礼的地方。
在复合句中充当宾语，位于及物动词、介词或复合谓语之后的从句称为宾语从句。宾语从句分为三类：动词的宾语从句、介词的宾语从句和形容词的宾语从句。其中，某些表示主观感受的形容词，在语义逻辑上等同于谓语表达，此时后面连接的名词性从句可理解为它的宾语，即形容词宾语从句。这类形容词比较常见的有ashamed、anxious、aware、annoyed、certain、confident、convinced、disappointed、determined、glad、 proud、pleased、satisfied、surprised、sorry、thankful、worried 等。
