这两个词用法比较多，二者意思相近，都主用来表示“如此“，”这样的“意思。
但是对于初中生来说，我们只记住如下几点即可：
so的用法：
1 so后面主要+形容词或副词，如：
He is so tall.
He does his homework so carefully.
2 so主要用于句型 so.... that结构，意为”如此......以致于......", 主要用来引导结果状语从句，如：
He is so hardworking that many teachers like him.
He runs so fast that few classmates can catch up with him.
3 so 主要用于句型 ...... so that ......，意为......, 目的是（为了）.....,主要用来引导目的状语从句，在这个结构中，that后面的从句部分常常带有情态动词，如：
He got up early so that he could catch the early bus.
4 还可以用于句型so +adj +a/an +可数名词单数 + that....结构中，此结构相当于such + a/an + adj + 可数名词单数 + that ......结构中，但是不如后者常用，如：
he is so hardworking a student that many teachers like him.
= He is such a hardworking student that many teachers like him.
such 的用法
1 such主要用于 such + a/an + adj + 可数名词单数 + that ......结构中，意为”如此......以致于......", 主要用来引导结果状语从句，如:
He is such a hardworking student that many teachers like him.
2 such主要用于such +adj +可数名词复数+that......结构中，意为”如此......以致于......", 主要用来引导结果状语从句，如:
He has such interesting books that we all envy him.
3 such主要用于such +adj +不可数名词+that......结构中，意为”如此......以致于......", 主要用来引导结果状语从句，如:
He made such great progress that his parents were pleased with him.
特别注意：
如果名词前面有many, much, little, few修饰的话，则不能用such,而只能用so.切记！
We have so little milk that we have to buy some.
上句中，milk为不可数名词，理应用such，但是由于milk前面有little修饰了，所以such就不能用，而要改为so，其他三个词也有同样的用法。
