PCR Primer Design

MFEprimer for Multiplex PCR is a product designed specially for multiplex PCR application, usually for large number of SNPs genotyping, following with NGS.

Workflow

Reference: Wang, K., et al. (2019). 'MFEprimer-3.0: quality control for PCR primers.' Nucleic Acids Research.

Usage

  1. Signup an account.
  2. Enter target regions in BED format.
  3. Select species.
  4. Select TubeNum (tube number), usually 1 for SNPs, 2 for regions; For single-plex design, please enter the number of total SNPs.
  5. Select other parameters, such as product size, then click 'Submit' button and wait.
  6. On the result page, download the primers.

Limitations

Because of computation power limitation of the server, for multiplex PCR primer design, maximum 20 pair primers are allowed. And 1000 pair primers allowed for singleplex primer design.
