How do you bring the cruise experience to the desert without ever setting sail on the high seas? Build an ocean liner that’s nautical in every detail except seaworthiness, surround it with a sparkling oasis of water, and fill it with a hotel, retail facilities and theme park. That’s how FORREC envisioned the story of the Desert Pearl.

The mighty ship never moves yet it transports guests through the golden era of travel to visit beautiful beaches, exotic ports of call, lush tropical lagoons and water attractions that are part of the site. FORREC’s master plan, which included three additional resort hotels, a water park and a commercial village, was approved by our client but has yet to be built.
