Arsen kurbanov was born in mahaqikara, the former Dagestan Republic of the Soviet Union. His mother and father are artists as well as his brother.

In 988, kurbanov completed his education at the Jamal Dagestan Academy of art and obtained an outstanding academic red diploma. He was immediately admitted to one of the world's most prestigious art schools, the Liebin

Institute of the St. Petersburg Academy of art. After graduating in 1994, kurbanov presented his final work to the Graduation Committee and was accepted as the 'Federation of Russian artists'.
