'小雨'、'大雨'还在说 small rain、big rain？马上改过来！

这几天天气越来越热，时不时猝不及防就下起了雨。有时小雨菲菲，有时大雨倾盆。

这不，我们粉丝群就有小伙伴按捺不住，想应景的学习下各种 “雨” 的英文表达。

我问了一下 “五毛钱英语”小J， 知不知道“小雨” “大雨”英语怎么说？他白了我一眼：当然是 small rain， big rain 啦！

小雨 ＝ light (soft) rain √

此外，颜色的“浅”也是用“light”

② 小雨还可以说成 drizzle

drizzle 这个词就比较文艺了，意思是：n. 毛毛细雨；绵绵细雨; v. 下毛毛细雨

torrential  [təˈrenʃl reɪn] 作形容词和副词时，都是猛烈的，汹涌的。

- It rains cats and dogs.

- 外面下着倾盆大雨。

※ cats and dogs = 滞销或不受欢迎的商品

- There was some cats and dogs in the supermarket，and the kind businessman gave them to the poor.
