今天我们读美国诗人查尔斯.布可夫斯基（Charles Bukowski）的诗： 《你想成为作家？》
你想成为作家？
如果不是无论如何
都要从你心里喷涌而出
不要写作。
除非是从你心里、头脑里、嘴里、肺腑里
自动出现
不要写作。
如果你得盯着电脑枯坐几个小时
或者伏在打字机上
搜肠刮肚，
不要写作。
如果是为了钱或者出名，
不要写作。
如果你得坐在那儿
一遍遍重写
不要写作。
如果仅仅想到写作就已经很难
不要写作。
如果你在费劲地
模仿别人，
算了吧。
如果你得等它从心里咆哮而出，
那么耐心等待。
如果它永远也不咆哮而出，
做其他事情吧。
如果你得先读给老婆
女朋友或男朋友
或父母、或其他任何人听，
你还没准备好。
不要像那么多作家，
不要像成千上万
自称为作家的人，
不要枯燥、乏味
装腔作势，不要整日
自恋，
全世界的图书馆
因为你这类人
已经打哈欠得要睡着了
不要再来一个。
不要写作。
除非从你的灵魂里
像火箭般射出，
除非沉闷会
让你发疯
自杀或者杀人，
不要写作。
除非体内的烈日
燃烧你的脏腑，
不要写作。
当时候真正到了，
而且你命中注定，
写作会自然
发生而且一直持续
直到你死或者它死。
没有其他途径
并且从来没有。

then wait patiently.
if it never does roar out of you,
do something else.
if you first have to read it to your wife
or your girlfriend or your boyfriend
or your parents or to anybody at all,
you're not ready.
don't be like so many writers,
don't be like so many thousands of
people who call themselves writers,
don't be dull and boring and
pretentious, don't be consumed with self-
love.
the libraries of the world have
yawned themselves to
sleep
over your kind.
don't add to that.
don't do it.
unless it comes out of
your soul like a rocket,
unless being still would
drive you to madness or
suicide or murder,
don't do it.
unless the sun inside you is
burning your gut,
don't do it.
when it is truly time,
and if you have been chosen,
it will do it by
itself and it will keep on doing it
until you die or it dies in you.
there is no other way.

爱好文学的人很多，喜欢写作的人也不在少数，那么多少人适合成为作家呢？在这首诗里，美国著名诗人布可夫斯基讲诉了他对写作的看法。这首诗直白清晰，不需要多加解释，不过不是所有人都赞成这首诗的观点，你记得杜甫的两句诗吗？“为人性僻耽佳句，语不惊人死不休”，也有诗人认为写作就是要搜肠刮肚，特意打磨哦。

查尔斯.布托尔斯基（1920-1994）一战后出生在德国，3岁时父母为了谋生搬到美国，他的童年并不幸福，经常被父亲殴打，被社区里的其他孩子嘲笑捉弄，他20时多岁时开始写作，但只是断断续续的发表在不出名的刊物上，他后来放弃 写作，做过各种零工，生活困苦，直到30多岁时在邮局找到一份工作，可是邮局的工作非常沉闷。他49岁时接受了黑雀出版社的工作。他曾解释：“我有两个选择——待在邮局，直至发疯……或者是离开这里，当个挨饿的作家。我选择了挨饿。”
他创作了大量诗和小说，描述美国穷人的普通生活，被誉为“底层社会的桂冠诗人”。他的墓志铭只有两个词：Don't Try (不要尝试），联想这首诗，你是否能理解这两个词？
