悼念善涛

Daniel was such a energetic and enthusiastic person. Not so long after he moved into Riviera he put his effort to campaign for committee’s member of Riviera HOA, that was the first Dragon Club member to enter this campaign. He was also served as president of our club for one year, meanwhile he organized several club gathering celebrations. He had talented voice, his tenor performance left a deep impression for all of us. His tragical abrupt leave shocked us, we all pray for his peacefulness and great journey to the other world. I wrote a poem dedicated to him.

悼念善涛

邻居谢善涛先生于三天前突患心血管病不幸辞世，心灵震撼之馀，不禁伤感人生之无常，生命之脆弱，于俯仰之间，竟阴阳两隔！特赋诗以誌记之。

无常夺命忒伤心，

转瞬之间隔陽阴。

三天之前还見面，

六呎间隔聊开心。

歌喉嘹亮响耳边，

一曲髙亢男高音。

难舍芳邻撒手去，

都是炎黄客居民。

一掬热泪送君魂，

异乡埋骨倍哀情。

Tribute to Shan Tao

My neighbor, Dr. Xie Shantao, died of a cardiovascular complication three days ago. It has broken our heart and couldn’t help to rid of sad feeling about the impermanence and fragility of life. Within a fraction of time we were separated by yin and yang!

Impermanence killed dear friend,

Our heart so saddened.

In a blink of an instant,

yang and yin were sundered.

Seeing three days ago we were,

Fun chat at six-foot distance we had.

Your singing voice rang loudly in our ears,

A penetrating tenor indeed.

It’s hard to give up, our beloved,

Have same Yanhuang name we would.

A handful of tears are accompanying your soul to heightened,

It is extreme grief to be buried in a foreign land.
