1. 正式的语言一般都是在客观的表达自己的的论点（Argument），使用正式的语言是可以避免由于非正式语言造成的意思的模糊性（Ambiguity）。

2. 在学术文章里使用正式的语言, 尤其是不使用 I ，We 这样的主语，会让你的文章看起来更客观（Objective）, 因为你是在引用别人观点去支持你的argument.

3. 使用正式的语言可能会让你的读者更认同你的观点，你文章的读者可能会是教育程度很高的人，他们对意思的理解需要更精确的表达方式，正式的语言一般都是陈述一些事实或者论证，不带有个人情绪。
