英语语法：表示时间的属格用法

2. 使用名词属格时，必须注意的地方

一般来说，’s属格多用于有生命的东西，of属格多用于无生命的东西，但实际上，两种结构既有区别之处，又有相通之处。

（3）必须用’s属格的情况

1）表示时间。例如：

Four months’ journey四个月的旅程

例句：He equipped himself for four months’ journey.

他为四个月的旅行准备行装。

结构分析：He是主语，equipped是谓语，过去一般时，himself是宾语，for four months’ journey是状语。

Today’s newspaper今天的报纸

例句：There are a lot of sensational news stories in today's newspaper.

今天的报纸有很多爆炸性新闻。

结构分析：There是表语，are是系动词，a lot of sensational news stories是主语（a lot of是前置定语），in today's newspaper是地点状语。
