在我开始更新之前，我想说一下我除了社交媒体之外，获取英国疫情信息的四个媒体渠道。我也希望真关心英国疫情进展以及世界各国情况的读者尽可能地多看看，保持冷静的头脑和清醒的意识，来思考自己怎么想、怎么做，又可以做些什么，以及最重要的是你为什么这么做。而且，浏览这些网页也是了解时事、学英语的一举两得机会嘛！
Before my update, I would like to remind my readers that beside social media, I also follow the update of coronavirus pandemic in UK through four sources. And I also hope readers who actually care what is going on in UK and the pandemic across the world can try your best to look more, keep your brain calm and your mind clear, for thinking how you think, how you do things, and what you can do, of course the most important, why you do so. What's more, browsing the websites can be helpful to both informing yourself about the news and learning English at the same time.

今天还有一个让我“心晴”的事情，就是大使馆没有忘记留在英国的中国学生们。
My heart also have a sunny day due to the Chinese Embassy not forgetting the international Chinese students who choose to stay in Britain.

我觉得这五个网址真的够用了，大使馆除了网站当然还有微信公众平台可以看。我就说到这里，觉得足够了。无论是对于因为个人原因关心英国疫情，还是出于专业原因关心疫情的人来说，我想上面五个网址提供的信息真是足够了。在我眼中，各国的应对政策都非常适合在地理课堂上进行深入的讨论，不只是在中学，也包括在大学以及研究所。
I would say the five websites are enough (of course wechat official account of the Chinese Embassy is also a good choice). I would say these would provide enough information for people who want to follow the COVID-19 pandemic in UK. From my perspective, all countries' policies and measures are perfect for geography lessons, not just in secondary schools but also for universities and research insititutes.
而这样做，并不是为了比较优劣。
But doing so, is not for compare which country is better.
因为为了比较出发去寻找资料容易沦为在无知基础上的自嗨。
Because if comparison is the end, when you search and research the materials, you are more likely to just feel good but actually being ignorant.
而当下以及不确定的未来都我们更需要冷静地去深入思考，为了更好地理解彼此以及这个世界而去发问：
However, both the present and uncertain future need us to think deeper and stay calm, asking for the sake of understanding each other and the world better:
为什么这个国家会优先考虑采取这样的政策？
这个国家的国民性格在这次疫情中有怎样的体现？
在这次疫情中，有哪些行业的从业人员至关重要却为什么在之前没有得到足够的重视？
我们有哪些方式可以让弱势群体（视障听障人群，以及生活在各种复杂的困境中的人，比如无家可归的流浪人）也充分了解这些讯息并且给予这些人足够的支持？
为了防止类似的全球性流行病再次来袭，我们（作为个人，作为企业，作为政府，以及在全球尺度上）可以提前做哪些准备？
在疫情得到控制之后，人与人之间的信任有哪些可以重建的方式？
国际组织可以为移民（包括非法移民以及难民）在这类危机之中的福祉提供怎样的帮助？
Why this country would prefer to choose this policy?
What the national characters shown in the pandemic?
What are the careers being crucial but not well recognised before the pandemic?
What can be done to well inform the vlunerable groups (blind and deaf, and people lived in complex difficulties such as homeless people) and give them strong support?
To prevent the pandemic which may happen again, what precautions can be done at different levels, from individuals to enterprise to government and at global scale?
When the pandemic is controlled, how can we rebuild the trust between people?
How can international organisations support legal and illegal immigrants as well as refugees for their wellbeings in this kind of crisis?
上述哪一条不是更能引发人去进行深入思考的开放性问题？这些不仅涉及到人对自然环境和社会环境的认识，还涉及到地方、空间与尺度的探讨。更加重要的是，这些问题也在考虑着个人与集体在面临重大挑战时可以保有的一份人性。
Any of the above questions can trigger people to think deep and remain its status as an open-end question. These not only involve the awareness of physical and social enviroment we human beings live in, ans also can practice thinking with place, space and scale. More importantly, these questions also take into consideration of human nature when we face grand challenges at individual level and as a community.
在自认为是地理人和教育者的我看来，这正是是地理和教育的核心所在——让人可以成为一个活跃而又负责任的公民，不仅是在国家尺度上，也是在地球尺度上。
To someone like me who self-identify as a geographer and education, this is the core of geography and education —— empower a person can grow up into an active and responsible citizen, not just for your country, and also for this planet.
我们一生能好好做人的时间有限，还是多想想能够带领我们人类命运共同体走得更远的问题，衣食无忧的时候就不要只想着吃喝玩乐了，也看看星空，也可以想想我们所生活的这个世界。
We have limited time to be live well as a human being, it is better that we think further about our future as human beings who share a common fate, when you have met your basic life essentities, not just think for having more fun, also give yourself sometime to look up the stars, and you can also think about the world we live in.
如果说疫情让我们再次确认了什么我们忽视已久的事情，我觉得至少有一点：那就是个人的力量从来都一点也不小。
If this COVID-19 has confirmed something we ignored for long, I would nominate at least one: one person's power can never be underestimated.
无论是可能的第一个病例，还是决定“到处说”即使会被看作是谣言的医疗工作者，还是坚持写日记的作家，还是尽量保持物流系统运作的工作人员，我们有时候太过小看个人的力量，忘记了我们自己可以做好（或者搞砸）一点事情的。
No matter the possible first case, or the medical worker who decides to " tell everyone" even being called spreading rumor, or keep writing diary when she can, or the staff who try to maintain the logistic system running for everyone stay at home, we sometimes overlook what one person can do, forgetting that one as an individual can do something good (or crash something).
所以，你的生活是你可以做一点主观能动的选择的，走怎样的路，在可以选择的时候，至少不要太早放弃。
So you still have a little bit agency in choosing the path you go, and when you can, not give up too soon.
