燕园风物最宜秋。

Autumn is the short but beautiful season sandwiched between the long hot Summer days and the chilly Winter days ahead, it is the time of the year students can be seen all around the campus trying to capture the beauty and the bright colors this time of year brings along with it. 

As the season of Autumn sets in and days go by, temperatures start to steadily drop from warm to mildly chilly weather, the length of the days also slowly start to change from long days short night, to short days and long nights.

With the arrival of Autumn, the PKU campus comes to life with the eye-catching scenery the season brings along with it. You can catch a glimpse of this scenery starting with the scenes of the vibrant and vivid colors of the various types of vegetation around the campus grounds, where each leaf on every tree resembles a blossoming flower.

The Weiming lake is also brought to life by the various birds you can spot swimming on the lake, from the Peking Duck to the Black Swan, or other little friends you can see all around campus, like the little Squirrels to the numerous Cats all enjoying the cool weather of Autumn.

The days on campus are as busy as usual but students and staff members get to end their busy days with fascinating sunset views which add more alluring color and sensations to the ones already on campus all throughout Autumn.

As we approach the months end, autumn days usually end with a bright starry night sky with a view of a radiant moon in sight.
