I spent a lot of time with my dad when I was young. We are very much attached and that’s why I always prepare a big surprise for him on Father’s Day. It’s a festival first inaugurated in the early 20th century to honor fathers and forefathers. This festival is celebrated in many countries all across the world to express gratitude for fathers. We usually celebrate it by giving gift cards, bouquets of flowers, quotations, show pieces and other beautiful gifts to dear dad.

Father’s Day is celebrated on a variety of dates across the world. Previously this festival was confined to pay gratitude to fathers only. But nowadays, people also celebrate Father’s Day with their stepfathers, grandfathers, father-in-laws, uncles or any other man who is as protective and caring as a father, involving gift giving and special dinners to fathers and family oriented activities. Father’s Day is celebrated in several countries across the globe. Though the dates and manner of celebration differ, everywhere people take the opportunity of the day to honor their fathers and express love for them.
