收藏帖 | 能让你离native speaker更近一步的20个常见习语以及用法
不知道各位宝贝们
有没有这种这种经历
明明学了十几年的英语
可美剧不开字幕还是看不懂?
即使打开字幕
却依然不知道好多短语什么意思?
其实这其中很重要的一个原因在于
美剧中出现的习语(Idiom)
很多是我们所不熟悉的
习语(Idiom)是什么?
Idioms are expressions which have a meaning that is not obvious from individual words.
习惯用语(idioms),简称习语,惯用语,是种固定的表达法,所以又叫做set phrases, 其真正意思往往不同于其组成部分的每个单词。
举个栗子,有这么一个习语drive somebody round the bend 表达的意思是让某人生气或者沮丧,但是我们可能无法从字面意思上去get到这个习语的意思。
习语的正确理解及使用
会让你离native speaker 更近一步
