我一开始还纳闷为什么叫our caretaker?
因为美语中一般用caretaker表示母亲或照顾者
比如Mothers are usually the primary caretakers of children
我查了一下原来这是英式英语用法, 意思是照顾房屋, 建筑物的人
有点类似我们的保安/物业的角色
美语中一般用custodian或janitor这个词

corridor=走廊 /ˈkɒrɪdɔ:(r)/
a long narrow passage in a building, with doors that open into rooms on either side
不光是指建筑物里的走廊, 也包括比如火车上的走廊, 甚至地理上的某种狭长的地带, 比如河西走廊就是Hexi Corridor

我一开始把on听成了and, 觉得这个句子很诡异
最后检查童鞋们的打卡的过程中, 偷看大家的打卡才发现是on
这样就通顺多了, 表示在右手边的三楼的走廊是禁区

bounds=界限
比如My love for you has no bounds
be out of bounds=超出了界限, 不允许前往
这又是一个英式英语的用法, 它的意思和be forbidden to sb一样的

die a most painful death=以一种非常惨的方式死掉
die和death放在一起来用
类似的, 比如live a most fabulous life
注意这里a most xxx表示一个非常xxx的东西
这里不是the, 不是表示最高级, 只是表示程度深
