significant
While Oklahoma became a state, the legal status of the Indian lands within remained open to interpretation between tribal, federal and state laws which has raised issues of jurisdiction when attempting to serve warrants, or recognize local authorities, creating yet another tangled scenario when it comes to American relations with Native Americans.
