3.4 名词的复数

1. 名词复数构成

可数名词一般有两种形式：单数和复数。构成名词复数的方法：规则变化和不规则变化。

（1）名词复数的规则变化

名词复数规则变化如下：

3）-s，-x，-ch，-sh等结尾的名词，在词尾加-es。例如：

bench - benches长凳

The benches are too wet to sit on.

这些长椅子太湿了没法坐。

结构分析：The benches是主语，are too wet to sit on是系表型谓语（are是系动词，too wet to sit on是形容词词组，作表语）。

fox - foxes狐狸

Foxes can be a curse to farmers.

狐狸可给农民带来祸害。

结构分析：Foxes是主语，can be a curse是系表型谓语，to farmers是状语。
