两个人坐飞机，坐在一起。路程还不短。

他们中一个是老师，另一个是个农夫。

起初他们并没有搭话，过了一阵子之后，那个农夫先开口说话了：“让我们找点事情做来消磨这时间吧”。

“你打算做什么呢”？那个老师问道。

“我们来互猜谜语”，农夫说：“你先开始”。

“那我们得先定一下规则，”那个老师说，“为了让这个游戏更有意思，输的得给钱。如果谁猜不出，那他就要给对方一美元”。

农夫想了想，然后说：“那不公平。你是个老师，受过教育，你知道的肯定比我多，我只是个农民”。

“那倒是”，那个老师说，“那我们该怎么办”？

“这样，如果你猜不出，你给我一百美元，如果我猜不出，我给你五十”。农夫说。

那个老师想了一会儿，然后说：“行，这样公平。我们谁先来”?

“我先来，”农夫说：“听着啊------什么东西走路时三条腿，但飞起来时只有两条腿了” ？

那个老师把这个谜语回味了又回味说：“嗯，这个谜语有点意思，我恐怕猜不出来”。

然后他就给了一百美元给农夫，然后问道：“告诉我谜底吧，什么东西走起路来三条腿，飞起来时只有两条腿”？

农夫说：“我不知道”。同时利索地给了那个老师五十美元。

原文：Not So Stupid
Two men were sitting together on a airplane. They were on a long journey.
One of the men was a teacher .The other was a farmer.
They sat without talking for a while, and then the farmer said,”let’s do something to pass the time.”
“What do you want to do?” the teacher asked.
Let’s ask each other riddles,” the farmer said,”you start.”
“Let’s make the rules first, “the teacher said. And let’s make the game more interesting. Let’s play for money. If we don’t know the answer to the riddle, we have to pay $100.”
The farmer thought about this for a while, then he said, “That’s not fair. You are a teacher, an educated man .You know more things than I do .I am just a farmer. I don’t know anything.”
The teacher said.”What do you think we should do?”
“If you don’t’ know the answer to the riddle you pay me $100. If I don’t know the answer to a riddle, I’ll pay you $50.”
The teacher thought it over for a minute, and then he said,”ok. That’s fair .Who will go first?”
“I will,” the farmer said.”Here is my riddle. What has three legs when it walks, but only two legs when it flies?”
The teacher repeated the riddle,”```````”Mm, that’s a good one. “I really don’t know the answer ”
He give the farmer $100, then said,” tell me the answer. What has three legs when it walks but only two legs when it flies?”
“I don’t know,” The farmer said, and gives him $50.
