3.3Quality System Requirements Cable and Wire Harness

Identify any current certifications related to quality systems for this site.

The MedAccred Cable and Wire Harness Task Group recognizes quality systems approvals. However, as stated in Section of this document, any QMS elements that pertain to processes being examined during the audit shall be in scope.

This checklist includes process-focused criteria that test the quality system for conformance relative to Cable and Wire Harness.

The MedAccred Cable and Wire Harness Task Group recognizes all Quality Systems approvals, as addressed in PD1300. If the supplier has been audited and approved by MedAccred or any other MedAccred recognized Agency addressed in PD1300, then no further assessment for Quality Systems will be required. Although specific audit criteria for evaluation of the general Quality System are not included within the text of this checklist, the requirements of PD1300 approved Quality Systems do form a part of the standard used in the MedAccred Cable and Wire Harness Accreditation program. As such, Auditors may identify and record nonconformances related to the Quality System. These nonconformances must be addressed by the supplier in order to obtain MedAccred Accreditation.
