the和a很难分辨, 这里可以通过语法判断. 因为刚刚已经提到了这个词
反复磨耳朵的话, 特别去留意the vs a的话慢慢地还是能捕捉一点th的音

and they vs then they
and弱读为[ən], then读作[ðən], 二者唯一差别是th音
刚才是把the听成了a, 把th听丢了
这里你可能又把and听成了then, 凭空听出来一个th
这里可以从句子意思来判断
如果then, 意思是: 他们用了这个词来描述我. 然后他们想要我
如果and, 意思是: 他们用了这个词来描述我. 并且他们想要我
and和then都可以表示顺承. 但then带有一种”先某事, 然后某事”的意味, 不适合这个句子
