“改天吧”不是“Change another day”，英语小知识mark！
好朋友，男女朋友，亲人等等很多时候都想约你出去high或者回家吃饭，但是由于工作生活真的很辛苦，有的时候真的只想躺着，什么也不想干，这时候我们总会说“改天吧”，今天阡陌姐姐就跟大家一起学习“改天吧”的高级表达。
“改天吧”这个中文里用来婉拒他人的万能句，英文里应该怎么说？
改天吧，如果光看表面翻译，那就直译成change another day。这样翻译其实有很大问题，change是改变的意思，但是change后面往往跟的是改变的东西，如果改变另一天，那就说不通了，其实英文中是想说，改变'到'另外一天，而不是改变另一天。这个'到'字必须翻译出来，所以要改成change it to another day. 这里的it指约定好的时间或日子。

“take a rain check”字面意思是“拿一张雨票”。
短语起源来自美国的棒球文化，如果比赛时因恶劣天气而不得不终止，官方将发给观众交换券(check)，凭借此券可以观看下一次的比赛。
由此衍生出了 take a rain check，使用在将约定改期的情况下。
例句：
Thank you, but I have to take a rain check on your invitation.
谢谢你，但很抱歉我不能接受你的邀请，改天吧。
Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?
