USB 3.2时代来临:将会全面放弃Type-A接口

在USB3.1 Gen2的使用下,在2017年9月底就宣布了USB 3,2 Gen 2的规范.

  • USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 - SuperSpeed, 5 Gbit/s (0.625 GB/s) data signaling rate over 1 lane using 8b/10b encoding, the same as USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0.

  • USB 3.2 Gen 1x2 - SuperSpeed+, new 10 Gbit/s (1.25 GB/s) data rate over 2 lanes using 8b/10b encoding.

  • USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 - SuperSpeed+, 10 Gbit/s (1.25 GB/s) data rate over 1 lane using 128b/132b encoding, the same as USB 3.1 Gen 2.

  • USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 - SuperSpeed+, new 20 Gbit/s (2.5 GB/s) data rate over 2 lanes using 128b/132b encoding.

In May 2018, Synopsys demonstrated the first USB 3.2 connection, where a Windows PC was connected to a storage device, reaching a speed of 1.6 GB/s average.

USB 3.2 is supported with the default Windows 10 USB drivers and in Linux Kernel

Synopsys首次公开演示了USB 3.2.

Synopsys这次演示的USB 3.2基于HAPS-80 FPGA硬件原型平台,单通道带宽为10Gbps,双通道则可以达到USB 3.2所需的20Gbps。HAPS平台通过PCI-E连接PC,并作为大容量存储设备。

在这次演示中,USB 3.2跑出了1.6GB/s的成绩,尚未达到标准的最高值,还有发挥的潜力;另外,值得一提的是,USB 3.2将采用Type-C接口,目前依然流行的Type-A接口将会在USB 3.2时代彻底被抛弃.

相信在不久的将来,数据接口将会逐渐被统一,变得更加方便灵活,传输速率也会越来越快,为用户节省大量的时间.
