十一月入夜的城市

惟有突然

我家树上的桔子在秋风中晃动

我关上窗户，也没有用河流倒流，也没有用

那镶满珍珠的太阳，升起来了

也没有用

鸽群像铁屑散落

没有男孩子的街道突然显得空阔

秋雨过后

那爬满蜗牛的屋顶——我的祖国

从阿姆斯特丹的河上，缓缓驶过……

The Canals of Amsterdam

A city in November at nightfall:

There are only the canals of Amsterdam

Suddenly,

The oranges on the tree at my house

Quiver in the autumn wind

I shut the window, it’s useless

The river flows backwards, to no avail

The sun, inlaid with pearls, has risen

It doesn’t help.

Flocks of pigeons whirl down like iron filings

Streets, devoid of boys, suddenly look empty.

After the autumn rains,

those roofs full of crawling snails

—my homeland

slowly pass over the canals of Amsterdam…

The Chinese poets Duo Duo and Bei Dao were guests of the Belgian poet Germain Droogenbroodt. Inspired by the Sensacionismo of the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, they set up in his house the poetry movement “Neo Sensacionismo”, poetry of the senses. It was launched in Altea, Spain, 1995 at “La Costa Poética” (The Poetic Coast), an International Poetry Festival organized by Germain Droogenbroodt from the 7th till the 10th April 1996, where all participating poets, European, Chinese and Indian, read their – sometimes enlightening - vision about neo sensationism. The Flemish poet, Anna Reniers, professor of philosophy, compared the poet as a swimmer in an immense water, but the famous Indian artist Satish Gupta asked, not how the poet, but how the water would feel. It was a great exchange of Western and Asian thinking. A unique exchange of Western and Asian thoughts.

中国诗人多多和北岛是比利时诗人Germain Droogenbroodt的客人。受葡萄牙诗人费尔南多·佩索阿(Fernando Pessoa)的感官主义启发，他们在他的家中发起了“新感官主义”诗歌运动，即感官诗歌。1995年4月7日至10日，由Germain Droogenbroodt组织的国际诗节“诗海岸”(La Costa Poetica)在西班牙的阿尔特亚(Altea)举行，所有参加的诗人，包括欧洲人、中国人和印度人，都在那里阅读他们对新感觉主义的看法，这些看法有时是很有启发性的。佛兰德斯诗人、哲学教授安娜·雷尼尔斯把诗人比作在无边无际的水中游泳的人，但是著名的印度艺术家萨蒂什·古普塔问的不是诗人，而是水的感觉。这是一次西方和亚洲思想的伟大交流。中西思想的独特交流。

缺席触手可及

犹如女人的香味

滞留的空虚

扩增或缩减空位

犹如湿气在升腾

削弱眼睛内壁

自身防御力

犹如一声寂静的尖叫

传入了耳膜

摧毁一切抵抗

如此触手可及的

是缺席

PALPABLE ABSENCE

a neo sensationist poem

Like the perfume of a woman

emptiness left behind

populates or depopulates rooms

Like damp rising

weakening the wall

of the defenceless eye

Like a scream of silence

inside the eardrum

destroying resistance

so palpable is

absence.
