望中淮水贯珠城，

遥渐京台北上行。

绕耳余音泗州戏，

眼前端舞花鼓灯。

涂山禹会陈遗迹，

汤墓龙湖叹碧清。

积厚皆因徽脉在，

两圈两带趁东风。

River Huai across the Pearl City runs.

Its railways 'n highways are second to none.

Sizhou Drama, so pleasing to the ear,

Flower-drum lantern performed at th’ end of th’ year.

Relics of Yu in Mount Tu dug from the cave,

By the Dragon Lake lies Tang He’s Grave.

In age-old Anhui culture th’ city melts,

By now, it sparkles in the “New Zones & Belts”.
