Dodgers是一支棒球队, 以前base在纽约, 后来搬到了L.A.

dodge这个词本意是avoid, escape, 比如我们常常听到一个表达dodge a bullet

比如说你的作业完成的很烂, 估计是要挨批, 结果老师正好没有认真检查, well, you dodged a bullet~

这一句的笑点是: 前边Amy不让Sheldon提及Avengers, 所以你看Sheldon在说the dodgers的时候非常不情愿, 有种挤牙膏的感觉.

然后还又补上superpower, fought crime, Thor, 那么这不就是又成了avengers了嘛

我给你举个类似例子:

A: You want your coffee black or white?
B: Who drinks black coffee?
A: Ok. how much sugar and cream?
B: um, I want no sugar and oh, don’t give me any cream either. I can’t stand it
A: …
(不要糖和奶的话不就是black coffee嘛~)
