“等红灯”可不是'' wait the red light''，正确说法正相反！

红灯是red light，等是wait ，但等红灯说成wait the red light就大错特错了，因为wait的本意是等待人或事的出现，后面也一般会加介词for，我们是等红灯变绿灯，所以正确的说法应该是wait for the green light或wait for the red light to change。
