Barbara Schilling‧自主的美感艺术作品欣赏
王国维曾肯定地说，哲学和艺术是“天下最神圣、最尊贵而无与当世之用者”，“愿今后之哲学美术家，毋忘其天职，而失其独立之位置”。也有人说“艺术远没有生活重要，但是没有艺术，生活就会有些贫乏了”。探索奇妙的艺术世界，就是一个发现美、欣赏美、享受美、感悟美的过程，她能洗涤人的内心，净化人的灵魂。
对于艺术家来说，艺术创作的过程是艰辛的，正如美国画家惠斯勒所说“艺术可遇不可求--它不会因为你是平民而对你视若无睹，也不会因为你是王公而对你青眼有加。天时未到，即使是最睿智的人也不能使艺术品诞生。”对此我国艺术大家齐白石也曾说“作画妙在似与不似之间，太似为媚俗，不似为欺世。学我者生，似我者死”。

Barbara Schilling, American painter
Barbara Schilling was a western Michigan impressionist painter and conservator for more than 30 years.
Her own work shows boldness and confidence, influenced by years of collaboration and close observation with other artists. Perhaps because her restoration skills require a trained hand,
her paintings appear loose and carefree, a wild play on texture and color.Her work embodies her love of flowers and the beauty of nature. She captures this beauty in a vibrant and dynamic way, bringing the subjects to life.
Barbara studied with OPA signature artist Kenneth and has drawn influence from many prominent contemporary artists, including Quang Ho, Daniel James Keys, Laura Robb and Patricia Moran.
Her work was published in Michigan's best artist and has won honors and awards in numerous exhibitions and competitions. Across the country, Barbara has been honored with events such as the Jake still lifes, the OPA region, the NOAPS still lifes, the OPA National Salon, and the OPA regional contest.
