以下这一表达基本学了英语的人人都会：

By the way, …

顺便提一下，……。

A: By the way, my sister asked me to give her regards toyou.
顺便说一下，我姐姐让我向你问好。

B: Oh, really?
Your sister and I worked together a few years ago.
How is she doing now?
哦，真的吗？你姐姐和我几年前曾经是同事。
她现在怎么样了？

想要打开话题，最常用的就是以下这句话：

You know what? ...

你知道吗？……。

A: You know what? I don’t really like him.
I think he is sneaky.
你知道吗？我不是很喜欢他。
我觉得他鬼鬼祟祟的。

B: How come? I think he’s a great guy.
What makes you think he is sneaky?
为什么？我觉得他还挺不错的。
你为什么认为他鬼鬼祟祟呢？

别人说的话提醒了你另外一件事，你就可以说：

That reminds me.

那倒提醒了我。

A: My mother called this afternoon.
I was so glad to talk to her. I really miss her.
今天下午我妈妈来电话了。
跟她说话我真高兴。我真的很想念她。

B: That reminds me.
You have a package from her.
They are holding it for you down at the front desk.
哦，对了，她给你寄了一个包裹。
前台帮你保管着。

别人说的话激发了你的新想法，这时可以说：

I have an idea.

我有个主意。

A: It’s such a nice day today!
今天天气真不错！

B: I have an idea! Let’s go to the park and practice ourEnglish!
我有个主意！我们一起去公园操练英语吧！

A: Sounds great!
听起来不错！

如果别人说的话让你困惑或觉得有问题，你可以用以下这句话来打断：

Wait a minute.

等等。

A: He told me the lecture yesterday was really amazing.
他告诉我演讲非常精彩。

B: Wait a minute. He wasn’t there yesterday! How could heknow about it?
等等。他昨天没去啊！他怎么知道的？

话还没讲完就被人打断？以下这句话可以派上用场。

I’m not finished.

我还没讲完。

A: OK, that’s enough. I understand.
  好了，够了，我明白了。

B: I’m not finished.
You’re going to listen to me for once!
I have a lot more to say!
我还没说完。你总得听我说一次吧！
