手嶌葵（Aoi Teshima），1987年6月21日出生于日本福冈县，日本流行女歌手，配音员。她的声音清冷干净，很多好听的歌曲都和电影有关。最早，在2006年因为卡通电影《地海传奇》演唱插入曲《瑟鲁之歌》而大受瞩目。这首《What Is A Youth》也是如此。手嶌葵翻唱的版本是目前最受欢迎的版本。
《What Is A Youth》，是20世纪60年代英国电影《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的主题曲，意大利作曲家Nino Rota（1911年12月3日－1979年4月10日）所作。Nino Rota经常为电影配乐，其中以《教父》及其续集最为知名。另外也写了很多古典音乐作品，包括10部歌剧及5部芭蕾舞。Rota的创作风格比较传统，特别擅长写作优美的旋律。
