One of the biggest attractions of diamonds to consumers is brilliance; brilliance includes three kinds of light: white light, colored light, and scintillation. If these three kinds of light are to be used as much as possible, it is necessary to rely on the proportion, polish, and symmetry of the cutting. In addition to the 57-face round brilliant cut, there are many other fancy cuts.
Natural diamonds must refer to the shape and clarity of the rough stone to decide the shapes, weights and cutting grades of the finished diamonds. In natural diamonds, some polished diamonds’ cuttings are not good because they are deliberately reserved for weight. For lab-grown diamonds, weight is not so important because low cost of the growth. Moreover, the grower can control the shape, size and weight during its growing, try to grow to the required weight as possible.
The cost of lab-grown diamond materials is low, and it is necessary to do well in cutting. There will be a lot of demands for fancy shapes and cuts in the future market. Especially for large-size CVD diamonds, the shapes of the seed crystal can be pre-selected, and large-size diamonds can be grown for special fancy cuts In the future, someone will use special patent cuts which different from traditional cuts to make diamonds with the best brilliance and special optical effects to attract consumers. Similar to 8 Hearts and 8 Arrows, we have different fancy patent cuts, such as 10 hearts and 10 butterflies, 4 hearts and 4 arrows and 4 butterflies.

Laser has great advantages in diamond cutting. The existing lasers are divided into red lasers, green lasers, and water jet lasers. The cost of the water jet laser is too high, suitable for the sawing of natural large-size diamonds. Normal lab-grown diamond factories are not suitable to purchase, but large factories that process high-quality, super-large sizes can be used in one or two machines. The advantages and disadvantages of laser machines are as follows:
