2.惯用复数形式的名词

(1)某些名词在一定的搭配中,必须用复数形式。例如：

make preparations作准备

But organizers said he had played apart in making preparations for the exhibition.

但展会主办方表示，王子也为本次展会做了一部分准备工作。

结构分析：But是连词，表示转折，organizers是主语，said是谓语，过去一般时，he是宾语从句的主语，had played是谓语，过去完成时，a part是宾语，in makingpreparations是后置定语，for the exhibition是状语。

shake hands with握手

He shook hands with us and took his leave.

他和我们握手告别。

结构分析：He是主语，shook是谓语，过去一般时，hands是宾语，with us是状语，and是连词，took是谓语，his leave是宾语。
