It is with profound sadness we share that Steven Gladstone, judge and director  of the AKC， passed away while on judging assignment in Australia. Steve was best known for his Cardigan Welsh Corgis - breeding over 100 champions，and his great passion for dog show sport. He had made great contributions to the cooperation between CKU and AKC , to the outward expanding of CKU as well. Our hearts go out to his beloved bride, Jan Ritchie-Gladstone, his many friends, & colleagues at this difficult time. 史蒂芬·格莱斯顿先生多年来以多种形式一直从事犬类运动，他从1974年开始繁殖和展示卡迪根威尔士柯基，获得100多个AKC头衔，他也拥有很多其他品种。他是多个犬俱乐部的会员，曾担任美国卡迪根威尔士柯基犬俱乐部主席。

STEVEN D. GLADSTONE, has been involved in the sport of dogs for many years and in many ways. He has bred and exhibited Cardigan Welsh Corgis since 1974, earning more than 100 AKC titles, and has also owned a number of other breeds. He has been a member of many dog clubs, and is a past president of the CWC Club of America.

Mr. Gladstone was first approved to judge Cardigans in 1988. He is licensed to judge the Herding and Working groups and fivehound breeds. Judging trips have included assignments in New Zealand, England, Canada, and Russia. "Most of all," he says, "I love judging because I love the dogs I get to meet!"
