近年来,中华文化“走出去”的影响力不断扩大,在全球文化多元化发展日益兴盛的背景下,中国文化译研网(CCTSS)联合中国作家协会《小说选刊》杂志社,启动“新世纪中国当代作家、作品海外传播数据库”项目,将100位中国当代优秀作家的简介、代表作品以及展示作家风采的短视频翻译为10种语言,集结成1000张中国作家名片向全球推介。千张“作家名片”将鲜明地向世界宣告:我是中国作家,我在进行中国创作。
此种形式和规模是中国故事走向世界的一大创新,会让世界更加全面、客观、公正地了解中国优秀作家作品,同时也是打通中国文化走向世界的“最后一公里”。
蔡骏,男,1978年12月出生于上海。现为中国作家协会会员、上海网络作家协会副会长。擅长悬疑推理题材的类型文学创作,已出版《镇墓兽》《宛如昨日》《谋杀似水年华》《天机》等三十余部长篇小说和五部中短篇小说集,总销量突破1400万册。同时蔡骏也精于严肃文学题材,系列中篇小说《最漫长的那一夜》曾多次发表于《小说选刊》《小说月报》《人民文学》等文学期刊。蔡骏的作品以天马行空的想象、引人入胜的悬念著称,其中《谋杀似水年华》《蝴蝶公墓》《荒村客栈》等被改编为电影,影响颇大。作品《生死河》于2014年翻译到美国(亚马逊跨文化出版社),并将于2018年翻译到法国(XO出版社)。
蔡骏认为文学是活着的历史。文学并不高贵,而是一个万花筒,一场凡人的白日梦。蔡骏在2014年凭借《北京一夜》获得了年度最佳短篇小说奖,随后在2015年获得了“茅台杯”《小说选刊》奖和《小说月报》百花文学双年奖。在2016年凭借《眼泪石》获得了第四届郁达夫小说奖短篇小说奖提名,并在2017年获得了《上海文学》短篇小说奖。他的《最漫长的那一夜》系列是两部中短篇小说集。有关黑夜的故事写尽了现代中国社会年轻人的成长历程与命运际遇,是这个时代的“人间喜剧”与“悲惨世界”,任何人都能在故事中找到自己的影子,找到从绝望走向希望的明灯;《生死河》讲述了一出人间悲剧:二十多年前,高中老师申明莫名其妙成为了杀人嫌疑犯,他随即被残忍杀害,凶手却不知所踪……多年以后,当年命案的相关人纷纷遭遇不幸。人们开始传说这是来自冤魂的复仇!这是一部融合了悬疑、犯罪等元素、兼具哲学、社会学思考的精彩作品,更多地关注社会的不公以及人性的阴暗一面。
《镇墓兽》是蔡骏最新出版的作品。镇墓兽是古代墓葬文化中,为帝王将相镇守地宫、免其灵魂受到侵扰的一种冥器。《镇墓兽》讲述了一名身怀绝技的墓匠少年秦北洋因意外降生于唐朝古墓,与小镇墓兽九色结为了伙伴。秦北洋背负着血海深仇,因为满清灭亡,天下大变,被卷入了波云诡谲的大时代,与天下邪恶势力进行了激烈的角逐。蔡骏用“镇墓兽”这种古老的器物,来讲述中国的墓葬文化、历史之谜与中国文明,以及中国如何面对西方文明的挑战,找到一条东西方文明共存的道路。《镇墓兽》是蔡骏筹备长达两年的作品,成功塑造了多个鲜明的人物形象,甫一上市就得到了读者们的热烈反响。

Cai Jun, male. Born in December 1978 in Shanghai. Currently a member of the China Writers Association, as well as the vice-president of the Shanghai Network Writers Association. Cai Jun is adept at writing suspense and detective works. Over thirty of his novels and five collections of short stories and novellas, including The Tomb Beast (Zhen Mu Shou), Just Like Yesterday (Wan Ru Zuo Ri), Fleeting Years of Murder (Mou Sha Si Shui Nian Hua), and Heaven’s Secrets (Tian Ji), have been published, with a sales volume of over 14,000,000. Cai Jun has also tackled serious literary themes; his serialized novella The Longest Night (Zui Man Chang De Na Yi Ye) has been published multiple times in literary publications such as Selected Fiction, Fiction Monthly, and People’s Literature. Cai Jun’s works are famous for their imaginativeness and immersive suspense. Several of his books, including Fleeting Years of Murder, Butterfly Cemetery (Hu Die Gong Mu), and Inn in the Abandoned Village (Huang Cun Ke Zhan) have been adapted into hit films. His novel The River of Life and Death (Sheng Si He) was translated into English (as The Child’s Past Life) and published through Amazon Crossing in 2014; it is also set to be translated into French and published by French publisher XO Editions in 2018.
Cai Jun believes that literature is living history. Literature is not noble and aloof; it is a kaleidoscope, an ordinary person's daydream. In 2014, his story One Night in Beijing won the Short Story Award of the year, and in 2015 he won Selected Fiction’s “Maotai Cup” award and Fiction Monthly’s “White Flower Literature Biennual” award. His story Tearstone (Yan Lei Shi) was nominated for the short story category of the fourth Yu Dafu Novel Awards in 2016, and in 2017 it won Shanghai Literature’s Short Story Award. His series The Longest Night consists of two collections of short stories and novellas. His stories of dark nights aptly express the the course of development and growth that modern China’s young people experience, as well as their fates. These stories are both comedies and tragedies in this era. Every reader can find a reflection of himself or herself in these stories, and they can also find a light leading from despair to hope.
The River of Life and Death tells a tragic story. More than two decades ago, a high school teacher named Shen Ming was mysteriously named as a murder suspect, only to be brutally killed immediately afterward. The real killer vanished without a trace. Years later, many people associated with the homicide case are suddenly killed. Rumors begin to spread—rumors of a wronged soul taking its revenge. This thrilling novel blends elements of suspense and crime while also exploring philosophical and sociological ideas. It explores the unfairness found in society and the dark side of human nature.
Tomb Beast is Cai Jun’s most recently published book. The eponymous tomb-guarding beast appears in ancient China’s tomb culture of ancient China as a dark implement that stands guard at the underground palace of monarchs’ tombs, protecting the monarch’s soul from any invading forces. The protagonist of Tomb Beast is a young but expertly skilled tomb builder named Tai Beiyang. After falling into a tomb built in the Tang dynasty, Tai Beiyang befriends a small beast named Jiu Se, meaning “Nine Colors.” Tai Beiyang also bears a deep grudge. In the wake of the fall of the Qing dynasty, and the massive changes engulfing the nation, he is swept into an era of treachery and intrigue, and he finds himself contending fiercely with sinister forces inside China. Cai Jun uses the ancient figure of the tomb beast to depict China’s tomb culture, the riddles of history, as well as Chinese culture. In addition, he describes how China found a path of coexistence for both Chinese and Western civilizations when encountering the latter in the early twentieth century. A novel that took Cai Jun two years to write, Tomb Beast provides readers with a successful portrayal of multiple lifelike characters. It was an instant hit among readers upon its publication.
