“be tied up”意思是“被绑起来了”?真实意思可是与之大相径庭

首先来分析“tie”这个词

tie  作动词时,意为:(用线、绳等)系;打结

tie up  意为:占用;绑好

be tied up   意为:被占用,很忙

相当于“busy”

我们平时一说到忙碌,

首先想到的往往是“busy”

用得太多,就显得句式不够高级了

所以就可以用“be tied up”来代替

比如说:

I'll be busy until seven o 'clock.

我七点钟之前都在忙。

可以换成:

I'm afraid I'll be tied up until 7 o 'clock.

5. I am booked.

booked指预定 我被预定了,比喻异常忙碌。
