Throughout my career, with management experience in Oil and Gas exploration, mining and Heavy Civil Construction I have seen so much waste as it applied to a company's ability to maximize its bottom-line and sustain profitability while maintaining and delivering a quality product or service. As a known fact, for construction companies to be competitive and profitable in todays markets it is essential for management to adopt a lean approach to running the organization.  In such an environment, project management have to focus on a long term approach of sustainability over the life cycle of the project with emphasis placed on continuous improvement of core processes so as to improve efficiencies and ultimately produce and deliver a quality product and or service.  Lean management principles focus on the elimination of waste and redundancies, while improving a company's ability to produce on time and within budget, while maintaining a very high degree of quality and safety.

To follow the principles of lean management and retaining talented qualified individuals, management will see signifcant improvement in success at various stages of  projects life cycles.  Commitment from management to invest early, and continuously maintain and improve upon its Quality Management system,  as a focused Total approach,  is vital to any company's  continued success and reputation building.
