今天分享一首来自Duran Duran、Nile Rodgers、Janelle Monae的《Pressure Off》。
这首《Pressure Off》是Duran Duran的第14张录音室专辑2015年《Paper Gods》中的主打单曲，Janelle Monae主唱和背景和声，Nile Rodgers吉他手。Rodgers还与Mark Ronson和Mr Hudson共同创作并制作了这首歌。专辑还邀请了前红辣椒乐队的吉他手John Frusciante来共同参与制作。
Duran Duran受到David Bowie，Roxy Music，post-punk和disco等风格的影响。1987年，Nick Rhodes（键盘）和John Taylor （吉他）和他们的朋友Simon Colley（贝斯）和Stephen Duffy （歌手）共同在英国组成了原始班底。后来人员也有更替，Andy Wickett（人声）和Roger Taylor鼓手进入队伍。乐队名字来源于Roger Vadim的科幻电影《Barbarella》中的一个反派Doctor Durand Durand。他们开创了流行电音乐风，被主流观众认为是新浪潮的化身。他们的名声有很大一部分来自他们的音乐视频。视频中模特的造型和时尚的感觉也让他们迅速从英国火到美国，并掀起了第二次英国入侵美国流行音乐的态势。
Duran Duran鼓手Roger Taylor回忆说，《Pressure Off》中的“taut funk”的灵感来自于他们自己早期的作品《Notorious》（1986年，也是Rodgers制作）。那张《All You Need Is Now》专辑也肯定了他们那时候的成就。Roger Taylor说：“能从以前的专辑获取到灵感这真的感觉很幸运，不是很多乐队有这样的经历。”这首歌将乐队原本的风格摇滚舞曲结合了Rodgers的disco感觉，整体延续了1986年《Notorious》的感觉。这也是Duran Duran与Rodgers1986年之后的第二次合作。
