对于艺术家来说，艺术创作的过程是艰辛的，正如美国画家惠斯勒所说“艺术可遇不可求--它不会因为你是平民而对你视若无睹，也不会因为你是王公而对你青眼有加。天时未到，即使是最睿智的人也不能使艺术品诞生。”对此我国艺术大家齐白石也曾说“作画妙在似与不似之间，太似为媚俗，不似为欺世。学我者生，似我者死”。
