Standing in front of a boutique, I noticed an impatient-looking young man approach a very attractive woman.
"Would you mind talking to me for a few minutes?" he asked her.
"Why?" she countered suspiciously.
"My wife has been in this shop for a long time," the man explained. "But I know she'll come right out if she sees me talking to you."
His wife joined him almost immediately.
【语言注解】
大家可以边听录音，边学习：
1、boutique：专卖流行衣服的小商店；精品店。
2、impatient-looking：看起来不耐烦的。impatient，不耐烦的。
3、approach：走近；靠近。
4、attractive：有吸引力的；有魅力的
5、mind：介意。后接动词时，该动词要采用动名词形式，即：mind doing。
6、counter：反对；反驳。
7、suspiciously：猜疑地；怀疑地。源自名词suspicion（猜疑；怀疑），形容词为suspicious。
8、explain：解释。其用法为explain sth. to sb.。
9、almost immediately：随即；几乎马上。
