1 What gifts do people give in China?

It's kind of hard to generalize很难一概而论, because it really depends on the occasion. I mean, here in China we tend to give different things at different festivals, a prime example being the Mid-Autumn Festival, when it's the custom to give mooncakes.

2 When do people give gifts in your country? 

Well, I'd basically say that people give each other presents all the time in China. So for example, when people have just got back from holiday somewhere, they often like to give souvenirs to friends and coworkers. And other times when it's common to give gifts are during festivals and birthdays, or it could simply just be when someone's done something nice for you.

3 Is it easy choosing gifts for others?

No, I wouldn't say it is at all!（请不要只说一个no） I mean, there are lots of things you need to take into account, such as that person's interests, and whether or not the gifts will be suitable. So basiclly quite a lot of thought's needed if you wanna find something half-decent.
