关于线材（一）

fibers 纤维 材质

基本可分为3大类

1、Protein Fibers动物性纤维

Protein 蛋白

也叫Animal fibers

包括羊毛，马海毛，羊绒，驼绒，美丽诺羊毛，安哥拉兔毛，真丝等

Protein fibers come from animal hair and insect cocoon fibers。

动物性纤维来自动物毛发和昆虫的茧。

They are absorbent.weaker when wet，and tolerate acid conditions.They dye well.

他们吸汗，湿了以后变脆弱，耐酸，染色效果好。

The fibers are elastic,but are damaged by stretching.

这种纤维有弹性，但是拉伸会损坏。

wool：羊毛

merino：美丽诺羊毛

mohair：马海毛

cashmere：羊绒

camel hair:驼绒

angora：安哥拉兔毛

silk：真丝

2、Cellulose Fibers 植物性纤维

cellulose：纤维素

也称Plant  fibers

包括亚麻、棉、竹纤维，天丝等

Cellulose fibers can be both natural and man-made.

这种纤维可以是自然的，也可以是人造的。

The fibers are hollow and absorb water readily,which makes  them cool to the touch and pleasant to wear in hot climates.

这种纤维中空，吸水性好，使得其适宜炎热天气穿着。

They are stronger when wet than dry,and can take high temperatures,scrubbing,and abrasion.They also tolerate alkali

conditions well,but are susceptible to acids.

打湿之后更牢固，耐高温，耐刷洗

和磨损。耐碱性不耐酸。

linen：亚麻

cotton：棉

bamboo:竹纤维

rayon：天丝（人造棉）

3、Synthetic Fibers合成纤维

synthet：人造的，合成的。

Synthetic fibers are made from

substances that are not fibers

they are made into fibers

by chemical means.

人造纤维从非纤维成分中提取，

使用化学手段制作而成。

They are strong elastic,light,do

not absorb moisture(difficult

to dye）.

弹力强，轻，不吸水（难染色）

包括腈纶、涤纶、尼龙等。

acrylic:腈纶

polyester：涤纶

nylon尼龙

Yarn is made of plies。

线材由股数组成。

平常说的1p,2p,3p，4p

并不代表粗细。

marled yarns:

多色混合的，AB色。

cabled yarn:链条线。

novelty or designer yarn 花式线

Yarn is packaged in different ways—balls，skeins（canes）and hanks。

线材有不同包装—球，绞，束。
