Give it a go!

I will attempt to answer all your questions.
They made no attempt to escape.
We try to help all students realize their full potential.
I doubt they'll be able to help but it's worth a try.

I know you've never done this kind of work before, but give it a go and see how you do.
I never sat on a horse before but I'll give it a go.
Why don't you give it a try and see if you like it?
I don't usually like cold coffee, but it's so hot out that I gave it a shot today.

Why not give acupuncture a whirl?
We decided to give it a whirl.
I’ve never had Indonesian food but I’ll give it a whirl.

我们还可以用 have a go/try  (at sth/at doing sth) 来表示“试一试”,例如:
Why don't you have a try at convincing him?
I'll have a go at fixing it tonight.
需要注意的是,have a go 或 have a go at sb 的意思就不再有“试一试”的意思, 它意为“攻击,袭击,指责,数落”,例如:
The boss had a go at me for being late for work.
My wife had a go at me last night for coming home drunk again.
There were a couple of drunkards having a go outside our local pub last night.
The police had to stop the crowd from having a go at him.
