莎士比亚十四行诗第三首

照着镜子，看镜中的容颜，
已将衰老，到了重塑之时，
如若现在你还不照办，
就是在弃世，剥夺一个女人做母亲的机会。
因为哪有那么矜持的女人，
会拒绝你的耘籽，
又哪有这么蠢的男人，
只因自恋，而自绝子嗣。
你是母亲的镜子，在你身上，
闪耀着她美丽的四月般的青春，
而当岁月老去，你双眼混浊皱纹深陷，
又在谁的身上，闪耀你那金色光阴。
而如果你活着时便不想让人铭记，
孤独去后，你的一切也将旋即消逝。

Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest,
Now is the time that face should form another,
Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest,
Thou dost beguile the world,unbless some mother. 4
For where is she so fair whose unesr'd womb
Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry?
Or who is he so fond will be the tomb
Of his self--love to stop posterity? 8
Thou art thy mother's glass,and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime;
So thou through windows of thine age shalt see,
Despite of wrinkles,this thy golden time. 12
But if thou live remember'd not to be,
Die single and thine image dies with thee.
