咏六盘水

万里云峰自在天，
牂牁一泻碧波悬。
风吹玉舍千层雪，
花落哒啦遍地仙。
竹洞青青芦笙舞，
海坪攘攘道琴喧。
乘兴千盅彝寨酒，
六盘如榻抱山眠。

Mount Wumeng stretches for a thousand li beneath the sky.
The Zangke River sprays green waters high.
The Yushe National Forest Park is snow-capped,
Flowers in Dala Valley fill in the mountain lap.
Lusheng dance is performed beside the bamboo-covered cave,
Strings attract lovers and the natives brave.
Can I propose a toast albeit I come from afar?
How I wish I could hold the rills and hills in my arms!
六盘水
六盘水是贵州省西部的地级市，市名来自最初下辖的六枝、盘县和水城三个特区的首字。全市国土面积为9,926平方公里，人口数约三百万，居全省第二。该市夏季气候宜人，平均气温约19.7℃，被称为“凉城”。
Liupanshui
Liupanshui (六盘水) is a city in western Guizhou province, People’s Republic of China. Thename Liupanshui combines the first character from the names of each of the city’sthree constituent counties: Liuzhi, Pan, Shuicheng. As a prefecture-level citywith an area of 9,926 square kilometres (3,832 sqmi), Liupanshui has a population of approximately 3 million, the second largestin the province. The city is known locally as “The Cool City” due to its low summertemperature, say 19. 7℃ in average.
