Four feet apart on the right side. So after instating the position significantly, so do not try to go for perfecting posture despite you are working in your prime age; when you are in prime age, you can certainly go for that. Then the breath-dimension of the āsana, try to understand the pelvic paradigm of Trikoṇāsana, navel-paradigm of Trikoṇāsana, diaphragm-paradigm of Trikoṇāsana, when you breathe, but these paradigms are for breath, the sternum-paradigm for breath, the shoulder blade- paradigm of the breath, the upper chest-paradigm of the breath, the head/brain/face/skull-paradigm of the breath.

See you will have very profound processing in your Trikoṇāsana. The intensity of the posture doesn’t give you this quality and quantity of negotiation; see the cells and vessels are being considered, subtle aspect; rather than gross muscles, gross bones, the subtle aspects of body matter; see they are being irrigated, they are made to receive, they are made to dispense, they are made to be beneficiaries, benefactor, receive, dispense.

去看看,你会在你的Trikoṇāsana(三角伸展式)中拥有非常深化的加工过程。姿势的强度给不了你这种质量和数量的调整;去看看细胞和血管都被考虑到了,那是微妙的方面;而不是只有表面化的肌肉、表面化的骨骼,而是身体物质的无形而微妙的方面;去看它们正在被灌溉,在让它们接受,在让它们给予,在让它们成为受惠者、施惠者,去接受、去给予。

So see the culture, how the culture comes; it will tell you about the yogic culture in negotiation. It will make you humble, sublime etc., etc.; so in such case I don’t have to tell you that you should be humbly doing it. You are organically humble; you are organically sagacious; you are organically wise. I don’t have to say “use your intelligence!” Inhale and come up, the left side, the other side.

因此,去看看这种文化、文化如何产生;它会告诉你调整当中的瑜伽文化、它会让你谦卑、高洁等等;因此,在这样的情形下,我不需要告诉你应该谦卑地去做它,你自然就是谦卑的;你自然就是睿智的;你自然就是智慧的;我不必喊“用你的智性去做!”吸气,起来,做左侧,做另一侧。

So understand the first tier of structuring of an āsana, first tier is a posture, and therefore I am not antagonizer of posture, I am not alien to posture, but I am aversed of a condition that you are stuck in posture, I don’t like the condition if you are stuck in posture. These are only foundational layer, any building must have a foundation; you can’t have a wonderful super structure and not bothering about foundation. It’s a foundation, and I am not against posture. Posture is a first step, then the second step there to look at it as a position for breath and breathing.

因此,要理解体式结构的第一层,第一层即姿势层面,因此我并非姿势的敌对方,我并非姿势的敌人,但是我反对你们深陷在姿势当中的那种状态,我不喜欢你们深陷在姿势里面的情况。这些仅是地基,任何建筑都必须打好根基;你不可能有一个超棒的超级架构、却毫不在意地基。它(姿势)就是根基,我并不反对姿势。姿势是第一步,然后那里的第二步是把它看作为了气息与呼吸行为一个的姿势。

How you can use the breath, how you can address the breath, how the breath can be addressing, how the breath can be addressed…so understand these dimensions of breath—breath addressed, breath addressing. When the breath is addressing, it is addressing the body matter, or it is addressing the mind matter. So it will draw your attention to mind matter as well; when the breath is addressed, the breath is addressing it, body is addressing it, mind is addressing it; when the breath is addressing, the body is addressed, the mind is addressed; that is why the three aspects, body set, mind set, breath set, which I introduced to you in our earlier lessons.

你能如何使用呼吸、你能如何针对呼吸进行调理、呼吸能如何去进行调理、呼吸如何能得到调理…因此要理解呼吸的这些维度——呼吸被调理、呼吸去调理。当呼吸去进行调理时,它是去调理身体物质,或它是去调理头脑物质,因此它也会将你的注意力给予头脑物质;当呼吸被调理时,呼吸在调理它、身体在调理它、头脑在调理它;当呼吸去进行调理,身体就会得到调理、头脑会得到调理;那就是为什么会有这三个层面,即身体层面、头脑层面、呼吸层面,这些在之前的课程中我都介绍给你们了。

So if you are doing the Ujjayi pranayama there, delicate moment of breath. So just as, when the pranayama means desha Paridrushta—pelvic desha, abdominal desha, diaphragm desha, chest desha, the back desha, lower back desha, hip desha, brain desha...Inhale and come up.

因此,如果你在那里正做乌伽依(Ujjayi)的呼吸调控,那么就是呼吸的微调时刻。因此,就像呼吸调控意味着区域的切换——骨盆区域、腹部区域、横隔区域、胸腔区域、背部区域、下背区域、髋部区域、大脑区域…吸气,起来。

So when it comes to pranayama, pranayama is not just slow breathing and deep breathing, “desha kāla sankhya Paridrushtata”. The breath is regulated by region of the body, location of the body, and then kāla, the duration of the breath, which is by volume and by velocity. If you modify the volume, the time factor will be definitely influenced; if you change the velocity, again the duration factor will be influenced. So kāla has too dimension there, volume and velocity; then sankhya—numbers of cycles replicated, numbers of cycles schematized and replicated

因此当它来到呼吸调控时,呼吸调控并非只是缓慢的呼吸和深入的呼吸,而是“区域、时长、次数的更迭”,呼吸是由身体的区域、身体的位置以及呼吸的时长,即呼吸量以及速度控制的。如果你调整呼吸量,那么时间因素就受到影响;如果你改变速度,时长因素也会受到影响。因此时长也有那里的维度,还有呼吸量和速度;然后,次数——几轮复制出来的次数,形成规律、得到复制的几轮(呼吸)。

So that the pranayama principles is integral to āsanas, there are words from Guruji that it’s an integral process, but you are not really identified even this such a gross aspects, how the pranayama is an integral to āsanas. Yes, after āsanas you should do pranayama, but have you done pranayama, should you not change your approach and culture in āsanas? You know very well that āsanas must be first accomplished and then go to pranayama, that is there in the very texts of Patāñjali; but why don’t you understand if you have done pranayama that should also change your āsanas, it should influence your āsanas, it should be regulating force of āsanas, how to constitute in āsanas? So it becomes an important factor to reconstitute an āsanas, because you are already oriented to pranayama. That’s why we did an integral process.

因此,呼吸调控的原理是体式不可或缺的部分,艾扬格大师有些话是说:它是一个不可或缺的过程,但是你们却没有真正认识到这是个显现出来的层面,即呼吸调控如何是体式不可或缺的部分。是的,在体式之后你就该做呼吸调控了,但是你做了呼吸调控之后,你难道不该改变体式中的方法和文化吗?你们都非常清楚,体式必须首先达到一定程度,然后才去进行呼吸调控,那就在帕坦伽利所写的经文里;但是你为何不理解,如果你已经做了呼吸调控,那也该去改变你的体式、它应该去影响你的体式,它应该成为体式的控制、它又在体式当中进行搭建?因此它变成了重建体式的一个重要因素,因为你已经受到了呼吸调控的培训,这就是为什么我们达成了一个整体性的过程。

Now come for Marīchyāsana twisting. Marīchyāsana twisting, bend your right leg, left arm against, left arm against, and go for your twisting, if you can clasp, clasp and go for your Marīchyāsana, or if you are in menstruating you can do open side, if you are menstruating, the women, you can do the open side. So if you can entwine, go to this all out for your Marīchyāsana, do this, as if this is a Marīchyāsana session, twisting session. Don’t just do, touch and go process. I will leave you some time to constitute this āsana, and don’t come touch and go process.

So at right point time go for second dimension of it, that is the position for breathing. You know how to do Marīchyāsana which is a good Marīchyāsana. We don’t give reference to breath, what is the breath in good Marīchyāsana; we only say this is good Marīchyāsana, looking at the body definition. Yes, this is wonderful! Click worthy! And we say very good Marīchyāsana, but we don’t bother about that dimension how the breathing should be in Marīchyāsana; and then try to use the breath, do it for breath and breathing, for breathing physiology; so breath as benefactor, breath as beneficiary.

So you should understand this, the quantity out of breath and quality of the breath. So you can un-do and re-do, perhaps if you need do that also, so be pragmatic. Now let go and come up, and do Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana on right side, find out whether Marīchyāsana has contributed for your Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana.

因此你应该理解这一点,呼吸所产出的数量以及呼吸的质量。你可以解开、再做,或许你也需要那样做,那就务实地去做。现在解开,起来,去做Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana(侧角伸展式),右侧,去探寻马里奇式(Marīchyāsana)是否对你的Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana(侧角伸展式)有所贡献。

Have you rotated your waist intently, intelligently, intensely?Find out whether it is contributing for your Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana as a posture. So it will be a different architecture of the posture, because of Marīchyāsana coming in before this, and then the second dimension of it that this is a position for wholistic breathing physiology, as if the whole, your anatomy physiology is breathing physiology; I am not referring to respiratory physiology.

你有没有专注地、智性地、有强度地转动着你的腰部?去探寻它是否对你的Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana(侧角伸展式)这个姿势做出了贡献。因此它会是姿势的一个不同架构,因为在这之前做了马里奇式(Marīchyāsana),然后又进入了它的第二维度,那就是为了完整性呼吸生理状态的姿态,就好像这一整体,即你的解剖生理结构都成了呼吸当中的生理结构,我没有在指生理层面的呼吸。

So how does this come now? So being science there is formalization how to go about, inhale and come up, Marīchyāsana the other side.
