So we'll go no more a roving
So we’ll go no more a roving
So late into the night
Though the heart be still as loving
And the moon be still as bright
For the sword outwears its sheath
And the soul wears out the breast
And the heart must pause to breathe
And love itself have rest
Though the night was made for loving
And the day returns too soon
Yet we’ll go no more a roving
By the light of the moon

Mutability
I
The flower that smiles today
Tomorrow dies
All that wish to stay
Tempts and then flies
What is this world's delight?
Lightning,that mocks the nights
Brief even as bright
II
Virtue,how frail it is
Friendship,how rare
Love,how it sells poor bliss
For proud despair
But there though soon they fall
Survive their joy,and all
Which ours we call
III
Whilst skies are blue and bright
Whilst flowers are gay
Whilst eyes that change are night
Make glad the day
Whilst yet the calm hours creep
Dream thou-and from thy sleep
Then wake to weep

Addressed to the Same
Great spirts now on earth are sojourning
He of the cloud, the cataract, the lake
Who on Helvellyn’s summit, wide awake
Catches his freshness from Archangel’s wing
He of the rose, the violet, the spring
The social smile, the chain for Freedom’ssake
And lo!-whose stedfastness would never take
A meaner sound than Raphael’s whispering
And other spirts there are standing apart
Upon the forehead of the age to come
These, these will give the world anotherheart
And other pulses
Hear ye not the hum
Of mighty workings?
Listen awhile ye nations, and be dumb
On Leaving Some Friends at an Early Hour
Give me a golden pen, and let me lean
On heaped-up flowers, in regions clear, and far
Bring me a tablet whiter than a star
Or hand of hymning angel, when ’tis seen
The silver strings of heavenly harp atween
And let there glide by many a pearly car
Pink robes, and wavy hair, and diamond jar
And half discovered wings, and glances keen
The while let music wander round my ears
And as it reaches each delicious ending
Let me write down a line of glorious tone
And full of many wonders of the spheres
For what a height my spirit is contending
’Tis not content so soon to be alone
