Georg Demetz 1962年出生于一个深深扎根于艺术的家庭。 他继承家族持续了100多年的传统木雕。 在Ortisei艺术学院毕业后，他向不同的大师学习雕塑艺术。 1987年，他获得了硕士证书。目前Georg Demetz在意大利的Ortisei生活和工作。
